Car accident in Boston

In a tragic incident early Wednesday morning, a truck veered off the road and plowed into a healthcare facility in Devens, Massachusetts, resulting in a fatal crash and ensuing blaze. According to the Massachusetts State Police, the deadly collision occurred around 5:50 a.m. on Patton Road.

An authoritative source indicated to NBC10 Boston that the driver, whose identity has not been disclosed, may have committed the act intentionally. It was mentioned that a relative of the driver had previously been a patient at TaraVista Behavioral Health Care Center where the crash took place. However, the condition or name of the driver was not immediately made public.

Authorities quickly responded to the emergency, as local firefighters rushed to the scene to extinguish the flames. Aerial footage captured by SkyRanger exhibited plumes of smoke emerging from both the wrecked vehicle and the building.

As per TaraVista’s webpage, the impacted site provides crucial inpatient psychiatric services not only to Massachusetts’ residents but also to those from southern New Hampshire, treating both children and adults. Inquiries into the collision are being conducted by Devens police, while the fire investigation has drawn the involvement of the state police alongside the state Fire Marshal’s Office.

Additional details related to the incident have not been disclosed as the investigation is ongoing, with authorities offering no further comments at this time.
