Car accident in Boston

In a shocking incident on Boston’s streets, a rollover crash in the neighborhood of Jamaica Plain resulted in a temporary standstill of the Green Line’s E Branch. The accident took place on Saturday evening near the busy intersection of South Huntington Ave and Cloburn Street. In an alarming sight for onlookers, a car was flipped onto its roof and came to rest on the MBTA tracks.

The Boston Police Department reported that the crash occurred at around 5:13 p.m., forcing the train service to cease operations in the area until nearly 7:30 p.m. The driver of the blue vehicle, a woman, escaped the overturned car largely unscathed and was promptly attended to by first responders at the scene. Despite the dramatic nature of the incident, she suffered no life-threatening injuries, much to the relief of the gathered crowd.

The force of the collision not only caused chaos for the public transportation system but also inflicted damage on a vehicle parked adjacent to the tracks. As emergency crews and MBTA personnel collaborated to remove the car and repair any damage to the infrastructure, investigating officers began their work to determine the exact circumstances that led to the crash. Currently, details surrounding the cause of the accident remain unclear as the investigation continues.
